Intercohort Cup


 

Attention MCKLians, 

We are proud to announce the "Intercohort Cup" which will be happening in the month of July!

Any team that wants to participate, please contact their respective house captains with: 1. Names of all the members 2. Shirt sizes of all members 3. Phone number of all the members 4. Cohort of all the members

Teams without the full details as mentioned will not be entertained.

Registration starts on Monday (12th June) to Thursday (15th June), so please sign up as soon as possible and state which sports your team is interested in as late-comers will not be entertained. Final teams will be out a few days after registration ends.

House captains are allowed to mix and match people from different cohorts (if the house consists of one or more cohorts) to make the teams more fair for others if they see fit.

The following information is regarding the games which are offered for this activity: A) CHESS/ CHINESE CHESS

  1.  2 teams per house

  2.  4 per team

  3.  no gender restrictions

  4. players play against other houses over the course of 3 days

B) BASKETBALL

  1. 2 teams per house 

  2. 8 players per team including subs

  3. 5 a side

  4. No gender restrictions

  5. 4 quarters with 7 mins each

  6. If a girl scores, she will get a +1 bonus for her shots (eg. a 2-pointer will reward 3 points to the team while a 3-pointer will reward 4 point to the team)

C) FUTSAL

  1. 2 teams per house

  2. 9 players per team including subs

  3. 7 a side

  4. No gender restrictions

  5. No offside, no throw-ins (replaced by kick ins)

  6. 20 mins per match

D) DODGEBALL

  1. 2 teams

  2. 8 per team

  3. 6 players on the court at once (5 males 1 female / 4 males 2 females)

  4. 10 mins per set

E) CAPTAINBALL

  1. 2 teams

  2. 10 per team

  3. 8 players on the court at once (minimum 3 girls on court)

  4. 11 mins per game (5 mins per half and 1 mins break)Girls score 2 points while guys score 1 point

F) FOOSBALL

  1. 2 slots for singles and 2 slots for doubles

  2. No gender requirements

  3. A game is determined by ‘best of 3 matches’A match is determined by first to 5 goals

G) PING PONG

  1. 2 teams of doubles per house

  2. Each team must have one male and one female paired up

  3. Each game will be determined by first to 11 points

H) TUG-OF-WAR

  1. 1 team per house

  2. 8 members from each house

  3. No gender requirements

  4. Must not have any surgery 6 months prior to the event.
